Embedded Pitch Leadership

Embedded Pitch Leadership: Enterprise RFP

A Singapore-based agency needed to compete for an enterprise contract requiring a level of large-account experience beyond their current bench strength. With the pitch deadline in 3 weeks and the stakes high, they brought in Sabina as an embedded fractional lead rather than build out that capability internally.

The brief: Step into an unfamiliar team, fast, and lead a high-stakes enterprise pitch as if it were home turf.

What that looked like in practice:

  • Took ownership of overall pitch strategy and narrative direction from day one
  • Directed and delegated across the agency’s existing team, aligning a group that hadn’t worked this way together before around a single strategic point of view
  • Shaped the positioning to credibly demonstrate enterprise-level capability to the prospect
  • Traveled to Singapore to lead the in-person pitch presentation itself

The outcome: The pitch was not won — the client ultimately went another direction. But the agency gained something they didn’t have going in: proof that they could credibly compete at the enterprise tier, and a live test of what embedded senior leadership looks like inside their team under real deadline pressure.

Why it matters: Not every high-stakes engagement ends in a win, and that’s precisely the point of bringing in fractional leadership before the stakes get even higher. An embedded lead who can walk into an unfamiliar team, set direction fast, and perform under pitch conditions is a capability worth having in reserve for the enterprise opportunities still ahead.
